PLAY IT SAFE. PLAY ALL SEASON.
As you know, we place the highest value on the safety of our guests and employees and, for years, we’ve led the industry with innovative, award-winning safety programs and initiatives designed to help our guests and employees understand their responsibility while skiing and snowboarding.
Last year, we launched the Play It Safe. Play All Season. slope safety guest-facing campaign and it will continue this year to elevate the guest and employee experience on the mountain by communicating how all mountain users can ski and snowboard more responsibly and still have a great time.
OUR JOURNEY TO ZERO
From an internal perspective, our goal is to eliminate lost time incidents from the workplace. To be successful, every one of us must contribute. We encourage you to take an active role in making this a safe place to work and play – this is our Journey to Zero (lost time incidents).
No matter what your job is here at Vail Resorts – you play an important role in our safety journey. Help us keep other employees safe, guests safe and of course yourself safe in all your activities – we want you to be able to Play It Safe. Play All Season.
Safety of Self Prioritization
Each day, we make thousands of complex decisions. Injuries can happen when we do not prioritize the Safety of our Self in the decision making process
Prioritizing the Service of our guests or the Service of ourselves over any person’s safety can result in avoidable injury or harm.
Like oxygen masks on an airplane, you must secure your own mask before assisting the person next to you.

Remember, as a member of our team, safety should always be on your mind whether you are on the job or just on the mountain. Before you head out to the slopes again, make a commitment to safety.
We hope these reminders help to provide you a safe and memorable Experience of a Lifetime this season.
