Reimbursement Requirements

  • Reimbursements for all Levels of Certification are paid throughout the current season.

  • All paperwork must be completed and submitted prior to the end of the Regular Season.

  • Pros must successfully complete the assessment process.

  • Assessment fees and associated prerequisites will be reimbursed for Alpine or Snowboard Levels I, II, III, RMT and Children’s Specialist I and II.

  • Pros must be current with their PSIA-AASI dues.

  • Reimbursements will not be issued for partial passes or retakes - the entire certification must be attained and the certificate turned in to the administration office.

  • Reimbursement is for the cost of all required elements of the exam for the year that the certificate is received, including E-Learning modules. There is no compensation for lost work time, travel, lodging, and/or meal expenses.

  • Pros who receive certifications from certification agencies other than PSIA-AASI are not eligible for this program.

  • The school will not pay for lapsed certifications, unless the Pro must complete the entire process to be reinstated.

  • This program applies only to primary disciplines, e.g. Alpine and Snowboard. Nordic is not considered a primary discipline.

  • Pros need to have been employed by a Vail Resorts, Inc. Ski & Snowboard School in the year that the certification is achieved. Exams successfully completed between the end of the Regular Season and May 31 are eligible for reimbursement in the following season.

  • Pros that pass an exam prior to May 31 will receive a base pay increase and any merit increase at the beginning of the following season, if invited to return. If the exam is passed after May 31, the Pro will only receive the base pay increase.
